Our 5-Day Accelerated Floral Design Course is a hands-on introduction to luxury floral artistry, blending lectures, demonstrations, and studio design. Students learn foundational techniques, modern design mechanics, and the business essentials needed to succeed as a floral designer in weddings, events, and corporate environments.

Day 1 — Introduction to Floral Design (10 AM–4 PM)

Module 1: Foundations of Floral Design (AM)

• Overview of the luxury floral design industry
• Roles of professional floral designers
• Core principles and elements of design

Module 2: Tools, Mechanics & Sustainable Methods (PM)

• Essential tools, equipment, and maintenance
• Floral supplies and care standards
• Floral foam, alternative mechanics & sustainable design practices

Day 2 — Flower Care & Bouquet Techniques (10 AM–4 PM)

Module 3: Floral Selection & Care (AM)

• Flower types, seasonality & availability
• Proper handling, hydration & conditioning
• Techniques for extending flower and arrangement longevity

Module 4: Bouquet Design & Wiring Skills (PM)

• Basic arranging techniques
• Wiring & taping of flowers and foliage
• Recipe building: selecting flowers and materials
• Designing hand-tied and cascading bouquets (students take home a hand-tied bouquet)
• Bouquet wrapping, ribbon & finishing techniques

Day 3 — Color Theory, Vase Arrangements & Modern Design (10 AM–4 PM)

Module 5: Principles, Elements & Color Theory (AM)

• Color, texture, shape & form selection
• Creating harmonious, balanced compositions
• Flower varieties & their characteristics
• Vase arrangement design (students take home their arrangement)

Module 6: Contemporary Floral Design (PM)

• Modern centerpiece design techniques
• Current trends & design styles
• Incorporating non-traditional materials
• Minimalist & asymmetrical design principles
• Garden-style arrangement techniques (students take home their garden-style arrangement)

Day 4 — Tablescaping & Event Floral Installations (10 AM–4 PM)

Module 7: Event Floral Design (AM)

• Floral décor for weddings, events & brand activations
• Integrating flowers into themes, palettes & branding
• Working with candles & complementary décor elements
• Designing for various event types

Module 8: Installation Mechanics & Large-Scale Design (PM)

• Designing for entryways, mantels, bars & specialty spaces
• Sustainable installation techniques
• Creating large urn, vase & container arrangements (students take home their arrangement)

Day 5 — NYC Flower Market Tour + Business Essentials (8 AM–4 PM)

Module 9: NYC Flower Market Immersion (AM)

Course Completion

Students finish the 5-Day Accelerated program with multiple completed arrangements, professional floral design techniques, and foundational knowledge to begin working in luxury weddings, special events, and floral business operations.
